Can we buy or license Caliber?
No. Caliber is not sold as a product and there is no license to purchase. It is the platform Avèro uses to deliver advisory engagements, the way an audit firm uses audit software. Agencies get the benefit of Caliber by engaging Avèro. Work product generated during an engagement, including requirements, scorecards, and reports, belongs to the agency.
How does Caliber handle government data security?
Caliber runs on StateRAMP-certified Azure Government infrastructure built for state and local workloads. Projects are isolated by design so no user sees data outside their assigned engagement, access is role-scoped with activity logging, data moves over TLS 1.2 or higher, and enterprise AI operates under data processing agreements so agency data is never used to train models. Automated backups run every six hours.
Does AI make the decisions?
No. Caliber drafts, scores, and synthesizes. People decide. Every AI finding arrives with a citation and a confidence score, and every score records who set it and why, whether that was the model or a human evaluator who overrode it. An append-only audit trail captures each override with the reason attached, which is the record an agency can hand to a losing vendor or an auditor.
