Caliber is the AI-native platform Avèro Advisors built to run government ERP engagements with the kind of discipline the work actually requires. Discovery, vendor evaluation, scorecards, and implementation health — connected, traceable, defensible.
For a decade, I watched government ERP evaluations run on spreadsheets, vendor demos, and gut feel. Then the spreadsheets got challenged in public records requests. And the gut-feel decisions didn't hold up.
Government ERP is different. It's bought once every 15 to 20 years. It's funded by taxpayers. Every decision is scrutinized, sometimes litigated, and almost always second-guessed. The advisory tools the industry has been using were built for private-sector speed, not public-sector accountability.
So we built Caliber. Not as a product we sell to other consultants. As the operating system for our own work, tuned to the specific shape of government procurement. Every pain point traced to an outcome. Every requirement scored against a vendor response. Every finding on a health check backed by the evidence that produced it.
"We built this because the old way was broken. Here's what we built."
Caliber is in beta. It runs our internal pilots, shapes the methodology in our book, and sits behind the advisory work we do for cities, counties, utilities, and special districts. It's not a thing you buy. It's the backbone of how we work.
AI-guided interviews. Pain points scored. Current-state captured.
Pain points become measurable outcomes with KPI baselines.
1,400+ government-specific requirements across 25 modules.
Scenario-based scoring on 5 dimensions. Auto-fill from vendor knowledge.
Weighted ranking: requirements (60%) + outcomes (40%). Priority-adjusted.
Upload status reports. AI synthesizes a 10-domain assessment.
AI-guided interview frameworks by functional area. Captures responses, extracts findings, generates current-state process documentation with flowcharts showing actors, systems, and pain points at each step.
Converts pain points into measurable outcome statements with current and target KPIs. Generates realistic vendor demo scripts per outcome with narrative context, setup, step-by-step walkthrough, and success criteria.
1,400+ pre-built requirements across 25 government functional modules. Finance, HR, Procurement, Asset Management, Utilities, Public Safety. S/F/C/T/N scoring tracks vendor responses with configurable weighting.
Multi-vendor side-by-side scoring. Unified ranking combines requirements matrix (60%) with outcome evaluation (40%). Priority weighting means critical outcomes count 4x. Auto-scored from the knowledge base, refined by the evaluator.
Upload a status report. Caliber extracts RAID items, budget data, schedule milestones, and findings. AI synthesizes a 10-domain assessment covering governance, budget, change management, data migration, and outputs a branded PDF.
Contract baseline tracking, deliverable monitoring, and deviation documentation. Evidence collection at implementation milestones. Designed so the advisor can credibly verify what the system integrator cannot credibly verify about themselves.
Interface mockup · Illustrative scoring · Sample data only
Every workflow, requirement library, and scoring rubric in Caliber was designed for public-sector procurement rules, compliance, and scrutiny. It doesn't ask you to bend your process to the tool.
Discovery data flows into outcomes. Outcomes inform requirements. Requirements anchor scoring. Scoring feeds health checks. Every finding is traceable back to the pain point that produced it.
Caliber uses AI where it earns its keep: drafting interview guides, generating demo scripts, synthesizing health-check findings from uploaded documents. Humans make the calls. The platform makes the calls defensible.
Caliber is not sold to vendors, system integrators, or other consultants. It exists to give the government side leverage it has never had. That constraint is a feature.
Government advisory work involves sensitive data. Caliber handles it the way it should be handled: isolated projects, strict access control, enterprise AI with no training on your data, and audit trails on everything.
Authentication via Google OAuth. Only invited accounts get in. Every user is assigned a role at both the system and project level.
Projects are isolated by design. No user sees data outside their assigned projects. Activity is logged across all critical actions.
All data is transmitted over TLS 1.2 or higher. The platform runs on HTTPS with certificates that auto-renew.
Enterprise-grade AI providers operating under contractual data processing agreements. Your data is not used to train models and is not retained beyond 30 days.
Dedicated cloud environment with automated backups every 6 hours, process monitoring with auto-restart, and session persistence across restarts.
API endpoints are rate-limited to prevent abuse. AI endpoints are separately throttled to ensure consistent performance across engagements.
Caliber is in beta. It's running our internal pilots and shaping how we work with our clients. It is not a shrink-wrapped product, and we're not pretending otherwise.
Launch framing matters. We'd rather show you what we've built and invite you into the work than ship polish over substance. If you're a government leader staring down an ERP selection, a troubled implementation, or a modernization program that's drifted off course, a 30-minute briefing will tell you whether the Avèro + Caliber approach is the right fit for you.
30 minutes with the founder. No deck. A working walkthrough of Caliber on a sample project, and a candid conversation about your situation.
